This is a sad picture – alas all too common in otherwise beautiful Splantzia. Graffiti is also a terrible problem for all of us who live there. Our visitors always say how ugly the graffiti is – it would be wonderful if the city council took action on both these problems this Summer.
Unfortunately, that becomes worse to worse. People don’t understand they fire themselves. In 5 years, I have cleaned mountains (Lefka Ori), beaches (Nea Chrora, Chrissi Akti and Agios Apostolos last year in October with the floods), and roads (Theriso gorge), in total more than 30 big bags of trash, and this 100% volontary.
